Technopolis Group as partner of the ERAWATCH Network ASBL is conducting a User Survey on behalf of the European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry with the objective to understand the needs of policy makers for information on national research and innovation policies in the European Union and key competitor and emerging economies. The results will be used as an important input to the future development of the European Commission’s web-based policy monitoring platform on research and innovation policies and policy measures.
A new video highlights the key findings and recommendations of the Expert Panel on Service Innovation in the EU. The video underlines the catalytic role of service innovation in shaping new markets and creating new business opportunities and it advocates a more systemic approach to integrate service innovation aspects into all policies, notably Internal Market, Innovation Partnerships and emerging industries.

More than 200 persons attended the information sessions held on 4 May on the two calls for proposals launched by DG Enterprtise and Industry on the "Promotion and Development of World-Class Clusters in Europe" and the "European Alliances for Mobile and Mobility Industries and Creative Industries".
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation announced an open grant competition designed to support scientific research projects to be implemented under the supervision of leading scientists at Russian institutions of higher education.
The competition is open for leading Russian and foreign scientists known for their outstanding achievements in different scientific disciplines. Each applicant may participate in one research project only.
Just to inform you that an open public consultation on the future strategy for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has been launched on 14/04. The consultation will remain open until 30 June 2011.
In a lively ambiance, the PRO INNO Europe® community gathered in Munich (Germany) between 5-7 April under the spirited guidance of the European Patent Office as host organization and Jeremy Philpott of the EPO Academy as moderator. During 3 days the many registrees participated and enjoyed interactive workshops and plenary presentations and debates on knowledge and technology transfer. The role of patents in these transfers and whether IP markets would be beneficial for innovation was a vividly debated topic during several of the plenary sessions.
An information day for the calls for proposals on the PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF WORLD-CLASS CLUSTERS IN EUROPE and the EUROPEAN ALLIANCES FOR MOBILE AND MOBILITY INDUSTRIES AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES will be organised in Brussels on 4 May 2011.
