Call for country correspondents for the Eco-Innovation Observatory

… in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland, Slovakia,Slovenia, and Romania.

The Eco-Innovation Observatory is inviting experts to prepare an Eco-innovation country brief for one or several of the selected EU member states. The country brief is envisaged to be a stand-alone document of about ten to fifteen pages.

Invitation to peer review

After a first round of peer reviews and follow-up activities in 2010 (see http://www.proinno-europe.eu/partnering-forum ),INNO-Partnering Forum (IPF) hereby invites once again innovation agencies in Europe to express their interest in participating in peer reviews in support of the development of better innovation programmes for European SMEs. Activities will encompass peer reviewing and the preparations for transfer of existing agency support measures.

New FP7 call "REGIONS of KNOWLEDGE 2011" for trans-national co-operation between regional research driven cluster published

On 20 July 2010 the European Commission has published a new call for proposals under the programme "Regions of Knowledge" inviting trans-national consortia of regional research driven clusters in the domain of sustainable transport to submit proposals for co-ordination actions.

Call for the creation of training modules in the fields of (i) business planning with IP and (ii) IP enforcement under the ip4inno project

The ip4inno project, which is providing training materials on IP strategies for business advisors, technology transfer professionals and other intermediaries to support notably SMEs, has launched a call in view of the creation of teaching modules in the field of (i) business planning with IP and (ii) IP enforcement.

New call for proposals on eco-innovation

The call for proposals proposals "PRO INNO Europe®: Better policies and instruments in support of eco-innovation" aims to set up a consortium to expand the knowledge base on the role to be played by public policies and actors in the field of eco-innovation, in particular innovation agencies and programmes, most efficient approaches and results to be expected.

The action will identify best practice in the participating countries in the fields of recycling, Green Public Procurement and international actions and prepare the ground for their extension. The action will set up a Reflection Group to analyze latest eco-innovation policy development in the European Union, raise awareness and promote promising eco-innovation policy approaches.

The value of the call is 3 million Euro for up to 36 months, the EU financial contribution is up to 95%. The action will be part of the PRO INNO Europe® initiative.

New partners sought to write training materials under ip4inno project

The European Commission and the European Patent Office have agreed to run another two year project, intending to increase the range and reach of existing ip4inno teaching materials. New modules are proposed, as well as updates, translations and e-learning versions, as listed in the Description of Work.
