INNO-Partnering Forum

The INNO-Partnering Forum will identify, develop and exploit synergies between public innovation agencies in Europe and propose new approaches to innovation support for SMEs. The project will in particular explore and test new ways of service delivery, aiming to accelerate the take-up of the most advanced innovation mechanisms with proven efficiency and impact.

LEARNING FROM SOUTH KOREA AND SINGAPORE: BEST PRACTICES AND SUPPORT MEASURES FOR SME INNOVATION

A joint delegation from the  EPISIS and Inno-Partnering Forum INNO-Nets took part in a study visit to South Korea from November 21st  to 26th . The purpose of the visit was to learn from best practices from South-Korean policies, and measures in support of SME innovation and in particular service innovation, from the EPSIS perspective. 

Commission explores new forms of cooperation with Member States and regions for better SME innovation support

SMEs in the EU deserve better support for innovation. In a survey carried out in 2009, a majority of SMEs declared they were dissatisfied with the support they received. While it is evident that direct support for SME innovation is delivered by regions and Member States, it has been the role of the EU to support the establishment of effective innovation support through the utilisation of Structural Funds, the exchange of best practices for example supported by INTEREG, or the development of better practices in pilot actions, for example through Europe INNOVA and PRO INNO Europe®.

Expressions of interest are welcome from organisations that are willing to work to improve their organisational efficiency and effectiveness and that are interested in joining the INNO-Partnering Forum for an effective introduction of the use of the EFQM Excellence model. The objective of the status and progress re-port is to describe the status, progress and way forward for the INNO Partnering Forum (IPF).It gives a summary of IPF, its objec-tives, progress, achievements and future plans.An overview is also given of objectives, progress and results of each work package.The progress and results are described in relation to those set in the Description of Work (DoW).Deviations that have occurred or are expected are also described together with the key learnings that have been made so far in the project.
