ECOPOL is a transnational public partnership that aims to accelerate the implementation of eco-innovation policies across Europe. ECOPOL’s mission is to find and test efficient tools for implementing eco-innovation policies at European, national and regional level.
The work of collecting and analysing the examples of best practice has been ongoing since the second Reflection Group meeting in Brussels in October, where several important decisions were made. The first major milestone of the project has therefore now been achieved.
2012 will be the year for DG Enterprise and Industry that will mark the start of a new policy, namely better promoting SME internationalisation through clusters.
On 29 February - 01 March 2012, the Unit for Support for Industrial Innovation of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry is organising a workshop “Promoting cluster excellence & collaboration in Europe: How to further develop the European Cluster Excellence Initiative” in cooperation with ACC1Ó – Competitiveness for Catalonia, Brussels Delegation.

Innovation Festival is an INNO Action under the PRO INNO Europe Initiative. Over the last two years, the project has organized a series of events aimed at celebrating innovation across six European cities: Barcelona, Milan, Kortrijk, Lisbon, Vilnius and Tallinn.

The third and final EPISIS conference will take place in Helsinki on 4th – 5th of June 2012. The conference will be held at Finland Hall, a unique venue by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
