Slovakia draws up law on R&D stimuli

The Slovak Ministry of Education has prepared a law on research and development (R&D) stimuli, which defines the rules for state aid provided to businesses in the area of R&D.

Despite the growing prevalence of R&D and innovation policy evaluation activities and evidence that evaluation is becoming increasingly professionalised, there is not much systematic research on the ways in which evaluation is being conducted across the EU or, indeed, about the quality of these evaluative efforts and the diffusion of 'best practice' evaluation approaches.
