INNO Learning Platform
The INNO Learning Platform intends to promote trans-national innovation policy cooperation across Europe.
The diversity of policy measures that support innovation in Europe reflects the diversity of framework conditions, cultural differences and political priorities in the Member States. The main objectives of the INNO Learning Platform are to animate and promote transnational cooperation activities, to facilitate the exchange of experiences and trans-national policy learning activities.
The initiative consists of the Learning Platform Consortium, the INNO Learning Steering Group and a set of exploratory teams and thematic task forces carrying out the analytical work which is available in the section Results
Expected impact
Each innovation policy theme explored under the INNO-Learning Platform will lead to the formation of partnerships for trans-national innovation policy cooperation. This will provide insights for the formulation of future INNO-Nets and possible other forms of cooperation project proposals that focus on issues of real relevance for European innovation policy development. Furthermore, the INNO-Learning Platform will create a repository of valuable innovation policy measures that will allow European countries and regions to better understand the solutions found by their counterparts for common problems. It will also assess the transferability of the selected innovation policy practices, thus paving the way for future cooperation and cross-fertilisation between countries and regions with common problems and/or interests.Expected output
The INNO Learning Platform will deliver four key types of products: Reports describing the problems and challenges identified for trans-national collaboration within each studied innovation policy theme. They will also describe the typology of regions for which collaboration on the issue can be useful and the potential benefits that could arise from the trans-national cooperation. Three annual Policy cooperation and Policy learning reports. Booklets on the selected examples of good practice and the transferability assessments that are carried out for each innovation policy theme that is analysed. A handbook describing the lessons learned throughout the lifetime of the ongoing INNO-Net and INNO-Action projects.- 541 reads
