Overview:
The aim of the project is to promote interaction and cooperation between regional, national and European funding schemes, to facilitate cross-border cooperation for SMEs in technology clusters and to strengthen the activities of SMEs in broad technology. The main target sectors are industrial and manufacturing technology, ICT, NMP, etc. The project's main focus in this context will be on technology transfer and take-up activities. The INNET project will launch a common pilot call for proposals, followed by another call before the project ends. Both calls are funded by the INNET partners.
Key activities:
The key activities of the INNET project are spread across seven broad subject areas: State-of-the-art regional and national innovation schemes and technology clusters policies: - The aim is to produce state-of-the-art templates for regional and national innovation schemes and technology cluster policies and programmes in all nine participating countries Identification and analysis of common strategic issues: - INNET aims to identify and analyse common strategic issues in the area of regional and national innovation schemes and technology cluster policies and programmes. Development of joint activities: - It is intended to design a cross-border innovation, technology transfer and funding scheme for SMEs in technology clusters. Existing examples of best practices and the analyses of the impact and inputs of a Mentoring Group will also be taken into account. Implementation of calls: - A pilot call and a second call (or calls) for proposals will be launched. - A general concept for a common innovation programme for SMEs in technology clusters will be prepared. Internal and external communication and awareness: - Efficient internal and external communication systems for the project will be set up. Best practices, impact and mentoring: - To ensure the relevance and sustainability of the project a Mentoring Group will be associated throughout the lifetime of the project Collaboration within the framework of the European Cluster Alliance
Expected impact:
  • To consolidate the experience and best practices of the ERA-Nets/INNO-Nets via joint calls for proposals.
  • To improve and enhance trans-national and trans-regional cooperation in innovation policies.
  • To define relevant innovation and technology transfer schemes and dedicated funding for SMEs in clusters, in the context of joint cross-border calls.
  • To contribute to trans-European activities of clusters.

INNET PROJECT ENVIRONMENT

European Cluster Alliance This project is a founding member of the European Cluster Alliance that brings together the four INNO-Net projects dealing with cluster policy development. The European Cluster Alliance will act as the main driver for the further preparation of a strategic agenda on clusters and will be open to other cluster initiatives willing to join the Alliance, share their experiences and develop common actions with other partners.
