Policy Analysis
General Description
The “policy analysis” pillar contains five building blocks, each of them addressing a specific objective:
- Benchmarking of innovation performance (INNO Metrics)
- Analysis of major innovation trends (INNO Policy TrendChart)
- Referencing of innovation programme evaluations and impact assessments (INNO Appraisal)
- Pooling of world-wide knowledge on innovation policy and business innovation (INNO Grips).
- Facilitate dialogue between public authorities, industry and academia on innovation policy (INNO-Views)
Objectives
The main objectives of the “policy analysis” pillar are to measure and benchmark innovation performance; analyse innovation policy trends at national and regional level; develop a culture in evaluation and impact assessment of innovation programmes in Europe; and bring together available worldwide information on innovation issues from policy, business and academia.
