CLUNET international workshop: 'Growing clusters through internationalisation and networking policies'
After a first mapping of cluster policies in 14 regions, CLUNET is currently running several cluster cooperation, learning and networking projects, some of which will be also presented during the workshop to be held in Madrid on 5 June. Topics include cross-border cluster initiatives, a model for the physical infrastructures needed by the businesses within a cluster, and videos of cluster managers and incubator experiences, among others. The future EU cluster policy and cluster internationalisation challenges will be also presented by Mr Reinhard Büscher from the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry.
The day before, on 4 June, managers of life ccience clusters and other regional experts interested in the fields of training and management skills' improvement in life science companies will have an opportunity to exchange experiences and to discuss possible cross-border cooperation activities. This will be preceded by visits to two Madrid biotech cluster support infrastructures and institutions on the afternoon of 3 June.
The CLUNET INNO-network is aimed at sharing experiences and implementing cross-border cooperation initiatives to support cluster growth and innovation, with a special focus on cluster internationalisation and incubation policies.
