Training schedule

The ip4inno project launched its train-the-IP-trainer sessions in October 2007.

The main aim of ip4inno is to increase understanding and usage of intellectual property by SMEs, with a view to increasing innovation and competitiveness in line with the Lisbon goals. Project partners are addressing this by providing training to intellectual property trainers using a set of teaching modules, which had been developed by pooling existing knowledge in Europe. The training events will take place in various European countries from October 2007 to October 2008.

The twelve ip4inno modules have been specifically designed to equip business advisors and other intermediaries (eg technology transfer officers, staff of chambers of commerce, incubators, innovation agencies) with an understanding of intellectual property issues as they impact SMEs and new businesses. Those receiving training as part of this programme will be able to use what they have learnt to organise their own training events for local business advisors, SMEs and start-ups. Participants of this course will be given access to the full suite of training modules and support materials on the ip4inno website throughout 2008.

If, as an IP trainer, you are interested in participating in one of the training sessions, please contact the organisers directly.
