The main aim of the ip4inno project is to increase the understanding and usage of intellectual property by SMEs, with a view to increasing innovation and competitiveness in line with the Lisbon goals. In doing so, it will address the continuously low level of understanding of the usefulness of IP management in the innovation process.

Invitation to participate in upcoming ip4inno workshops (autumn 2010)

The EPO will be running four workshops this autumn, each with a different programme using four or more of the twenty ip4inno modules, on topics ranging from: IP commercialisation, licensing, valuation and financing topics; patent information; and IP enforcement. The workshops will be making use of upgraded ip4inno teaching material, improved workshop exercises and updated information. Also, the EPO has recruited many of the authors of the teaching material to be used during the workshops, that way providing a rare opportunity to be taught by the experts who know the topics the best.

Call for the creation of training modules in the fields of (i) business planning with IP and (ii) IP enforcement under the ip4inno project

The ip4inno project, which is providing training materials on IP strategies for business advisors, technology transfer professionals and other intermediaries to support notably SMEs, has launched a call in view of the creation of teaching modules in the field of (i) business planning with IP and (ii) IP enforcement.

As part of the “PRO INNO Europe® Collection of Best Practices” a fact sheet on this project has been drawn up. It is based on results and deliverables from the project and aims to share lessons from PRO INNO Europe® projects and enhance their uptake by the wider stakeholder community in innovation support.
