France: Connecting key actors of innovation

The French ministry of higher education and research is about to launch a series of meetings around specific research topics to provide a forum for stakeholders active in innovation such as researchers, investors, industry representatives and business incubators.

The first of a series of meetings will be held on November 15th 2011. It will deal with medical technology and medical devices (“Instrumentation médicale et dispositifs médicaux”). Around 250 experts from different domains are expected to participate. The agenda foresees both individual meetings between researchers and investors as well as presentations on recent research results (patents) and industry priorities. In the upcoming meetings, scheduled for the first half of 2012 (January, March, May) the following topics are on the agenda: digital technologies and robotics, materials and renewable energy, green and white biotechnology.
