Around 130 cluster policy-makers and practitioners gathered in Santiago de Compostela at the transnational conference on "Cluster, cluster policies and innovation networks in Europe" on 11-12 March. The participants discussed the role of clusters as innovation drivers and better practices of how to engage in international cluster cooperation, especially in the Atlantic Area among the partnership of the ATclusters Interreg IVB project lead by the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE).

European SME Week 2010

The European SME Week 2010 is coordinated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry. It is a pan-European campaign taking place in 37 participating countries, unfolding in a decentralised fashion in order for events and activities to take place as close as possible to entrepreneurs, who are the main target audience of the SME Week.

VINNOVA meets DG Enterprise & Industry

At the invitation of VINNOVA, the Swedish Innovation Agency, a delegation from DG Enterprise & Industry visited Stockholm to discuss new trends in innovation support and explore the scope for better cooperation between national and European initiatives. “We are very much interested in participating in European innovation projects”, said Charlotte Brogren, Director General of VINNOVA.
