Roundtable on Future European Innovation Policy

A high level roundtable was organised by DG Enterprise and Industry on 8-9 June 2009 in Brussels, to bring together leading innovation experts for an open and informal discussion on future EU innovation policy, as part of the preparations for a new European Innovation Plan.
The discussion was focused around four topics:
- A societal challenges approach to innovation
- High level targets for EU innovation policy
- “New” forms of innovation, creativity and networks
- Public sector innovation
Ideas for actions in these four fields developed during this two day event are summarised in a note prepared by Charlotte Arwidi, Unit D1 Innovation Policy Development and available for download.
