The Nordic Council of Ministers (on behalf of the Baltic Sea Region Innovation Network or BSR InnoNet project) will host a conference on 'Innovation and Prosperity in the Baltic Sea Region – New Tools for Transnational Collaboration' on 7 May in Copenhagen. The conference will be held in conjunction with a half-day meeting of the European Cluster Alliance on 8 May.

The conference has the objective of presenting new national- and EU-level tools for innovation and prosperity, and highlighting methods and outcomes of the BSR InnoNet project as a successful example of transnational collaboration - feeding into the EU's anticipated Baltic Sea Region Strategy.

An audience of up to 400 participants is expected, including national ministers, representatives from the European Commission and other high-level policymakers from across Europe. Kenichi Ohmae – a well-known Japanese strategist and author of The Next Global Stage: Challenges and Opportunities in Our Borderless World (among others) – will be the keynote speaker.

Attendance at the conference is free of charge, but space is limited and registration is required. Registration will be open until Wednesday 6 May.
