Benchmarking Innovation Excellence as Input for Policy
Promoting innovation in enterprises and spreading innovation excellence is one of the priorities of the new Commission Innovation Action Plan that was opened for consultation in April 2004.
Europe must identify, analyse and promote existing "excellence". Such a showcase for excellence needs to be promoted to spread the culture of innovation through examples of best practice and success stories, and foster the creation of innovative businesses and processes
Actions under this theme aim at spreading a culture of innovation among European businesses through the identification, benchmarking and dissemination of cases of innovation excellence and innovation leaders. The workshop should identify current practice in Europe and provide examples of how member states could continue and expand these actions by highlighting role models, i.e. the innovative entrepreneurs and innovation managers.
For practitioners a -links and more- section has been developed to provide more information on the theme and links to country specific documents, and measures.
