Implementation

The ECOPOL project is built around four analytical Work Packages, two practical Work Packages and one dissemination Work Package. The analytical work happens in four thematic Working Groups staffed with partner representatives and public or private experts. The groups develop understanding about role and dynamics of public policies in eco-innovation. They identify, analyse, and evaluate policies and instruments and make recommendations for their implementation in each of the partner countries, and at EU level. The practical WPs look at specific examples of good practice, promote these with the competent bodies in each country, and select the most interesting for implementation. Then, they plan and launch the pilots. ECOPOL contains strong elements for joint learning and transnational exchange of experience: the reports of each partner are peer-reviewed by the others.
