Innovation Circus (INNO-Action) Best Practice document
The objectives of Innovation Circus were:
- to examine and identify the driving forces behind innovation (be they economic, social and or cultural stakeholders),
- to involve, tap into and connect all societal stakeholders in innovation,
- and to exploit and valorize good practices in support measures from national and regional policy level to leverage innovation.
Through that, it aimed to:
The project ran between 2006 and 2008 and brought together regional partners from 8 countries, namely: the Baltic States (Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania), Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy and Poland. The coordinator of the project was EuroCenter from Denmark. In total, there were 16 partners. Chiefly, these were innovation agencies, local governments and universities.
To reach out to and mobilize its target audiences, the Innovation Circus project organized a series of regional innovation events (a.o. innovation days, exhibition weeks and workshops) throughout Europe.
