BSR-INNOnet (INNO-Nets) Best Practice document

The Baltic Sea region is a highly competitive region on the global economic scene. The region has been characterized by very dynamic growth since 2004 and shows strengths in education, technology, innovation capacity and overall business competitiveness.

In order to drive forward this dynamism and to generate synergies (both policy making and economic) between the constituent parts of the region, cooperation between the countries and regions neighbouring the Baltic Sea in areas such as the economy, social and environmental issues are of strategic importance. This should also provide the policy actors with the tools to face common challenges in the age of globalisation. Notably, by setting up new alliances that can help their economies face up to new circumstances. This was the first cornerstone upon which the BSR INNO-Net was founded.
